In our last post I mentioned that we were going to take Bowen for his six month check-up this week. On Monday we made the familiar drive up 23 North to U of M. I’ve written about it before, but every time we make that drive I get the same feeling…a feeling that is completely unique to the experience of driving our little boy to the hospital. It’s most bitter-sweet.
It was good to see familiar faces when we arrived at the hospital. It amazes me how many of the same friends we run into on each trip, and it’s always good too see the doctors and nurses who we’ve grown to love and appreciate. I’m sure the time we spent visiting with our friends was much longer than Bowen’s check-up. Which lends to the good news, that all is well and our little man is doing great.
I can’t thank you enough for being able to count on your prayers. We’re going to continue to need them, especially as we move closer to Bowen’s third surgery next year. I also want to thank you for praying for Bowen’s great grandmother Gloria. She has settled back into her home and, though on oxygen, she is stable and feeling much better.
